BLUESHILO
My Mom, Nancy Kipp, was passionate about several things: her family, teaching, and learning about her ancestry. She enjoyed learning about past generations and how she came to be; she had a genealogical history back to the 1700's. She was a great teacher, I know first hand, as she was a substitute teacher once in my fifth grade class. She taught me lessons right up until she passed and even beyond. She was a great teacher, a classy lady, and a better Mom than I feel I could ever deserve.
Nancy passed away on August 24th, 2013 of complications from Sjogren's Syndrome. On her birthday that year, I went to the Grand Canyon - I had wanted to go with her for my first trip there, and while she wasn't there in body, I did feel like she was with me in spirit.
Starting work for the San Diego County Office of Education, I can hopefully help teachers with passion like she had, and help them make a difference in the lives they touch.
